Bucknell University seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty member in English (Creative Writing) beginning August 2019.

This person will have expertise in poetry and will assume directorship of the University's distinguished Stadler Center for Poetry and Literary Arts as well as teach in the Creative Writing Program. The successful candidate will oversee the programs of the Stadler Center and, as a member of the Creative Writing faculty, work with colleagues to coordinate visitors and programs of the Center with the Creative Writing Curriculum. She/he/they will teach poetry writing at beginning and advanced levels, as well as introductory multi-genre courses, and will have the opportunity to develop Creative Writing courses around individual areas of interest. The Stadler Center for Poetry has a strong history of promoting diversity in the writing world and on campus; both the Stadler Center and the Creative Writing Program seek candidates with a demonstrated commitment to actively supporting diversity and inclusion. The Directorship of the Stadler Center is compensated with 2 course releases per year, and faculty members are expected to maintain a program of professional publication. MFA or Ph.D., at least one book of poems published or under contract, experience in arts administration, and teaching experience are required. This position is open-ranked to ensure the broadest possible diversity of interest. The Community
