Associate or Full Professor (Ladder Rank, In-Residence) Surgical Oncology

The Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology, (https://medschool.ucsd.edu/som/surgery/divisions/oncology/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body.
We seek faculty applicants to join a highly interdisciplinary, programmatic effort within the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center dedicated to advancing the detection and treatment of pancreatic cancer. A willingness to participate in university service, graduate and undergraduate teaching is plus.
Candidates must have an MD and/or PhD in Biological Sciences, Molecular Pathology, Molecular Biology or similar area. Candidates must have established, independent and vigorous extramurally-funded research programs ideally focusing on basic and/or translational studies of gastrointestinal or pancreatic cancer. Our top candidates must have innovative approaches and expertise in one or more disciplines. Candidates with an MD must be board certified/board eligible and the ability to obtain a California Medical License.
Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor rank. Series will include 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
