Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (Adjunct, In-Residence) - FMPH - Biostatistics and Bioinformatics

The Department of Family Medicine and Public Health (FMPH) (https://healthsciences.ucsd.edu/som/fmph) at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body.
We invite applications for one or more faculty positions in FMPH's Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics (https://healthsciences.ucsd.edu/som/fmph/divisions/biostat), with a dual focus on research in statistical methodology and in collaborative biomedical science. All research areas of biostatistics and applied statistics are welcome. The faculty member will be expected to teach in the PhD program in Biostatistics and in other Departmental initiatives.
The Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics is located within the research-intensive environment of UC San Diego School of Medicine, which has research funding of nearly $1 billion annually. The Division offers the PhD in Biostatistics, and we support major research initiatives in Alzheimer's Disease, HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Public Health, as well as the UCSD Clinical and Translational Research Institute.
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related field. The successful candidate(s) must have evidence of accomplishment in collaborative biomedical research and in research in statistical methodology, as demonstrated by impactful publication and independent funding, or by demonstrated potential in these areas. ; excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Candidates must have an established research program and a strong record of publication in the peer-reviewed literature. Candidates must have demonstrated potential for obtaining NIH (or comparable) funding and high productivity of impactful publication in both the statistical and biomedical peer-reviewed literature.
An outstanding program of relevant methods research and mentoring, or outstanding promise in these areas, is preferred.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
