English - Assistant Professor of Early Modern British Literature

Tenure-track assistant professor of English in Early Modern British literature and culture. Successful candidate will teach courses in Early Modern British literature and Shakespeare, ranging from undergraduate survey courses to topics courses for PhD students.

Significant publications in British Early Modern studies; evidence of excellence in teaching; a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates whose research addresses questions of race and ethnicity and who demonstrate expertise in both Shakespeare and historical and theoretical recovery of marginalized texts and identities within the Early Modern period. Secondary expertise in one of the following is also desirable: Critical Race Theory, Postcolonial Studies, Gender/Queer Theory, Textual Scholarship.
