Executive Officer, Corps of Cadets

Position Summary:
Principle liaison for the Corps to other departments and organizations on and off campus. Coordinate supplemental training for cadets that contribute to whole-person development and wellness. Manage cadet company assignments for incoming students and rising second-year cadets. Complete cadet housing assignments prior to each semester. Plan, coordinate, write scripts for, and oversee ceremonies to include pass in reviews, annual award ceremony, and graduation ceremonies. Assist the Director of Alumni Relations and Communications Director in events, cadet support, and messaging. Monitor cadets in crisis and ensure they are connected to needed resources. Oversee and coordinate cadet community services projects. Develop Corps' assessment efforts, to include creating the Annual Report. Review all cadet event space requests for Recreational Sports and Student Engagement and Campus Life. Support cadet recognition through award nominations. Serve on committees, to include, Care Team, Sexual Violence Prevention Committee, Aspirations for Student Learning Committee, Student Affairs Diversity and Inclusion Catalysts Committee, and Student Affairs Assessment Round Table. Serve as faculty advisor to the cadet spirit squad, Esprit de Corps. Coordinate cadet participation in athletic events with Athletics Department. Position does requires some evening and weekend responsibilities at peak times. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree; or Bachelor's degree and training and experience equating to an advanced degree
- Prior military experience
- Experience in creating and implementing programs
- Demonstrated computer technology skills including spreadsheets, internet communications, and web pages.
- Commitment to diversity

- Effective presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with all university constituents
- Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to understand and appreciate the demands of the cadet experience and the goal of educating the whole person intellectually, ethically and physically

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience at a senior military school or service academy;
-Experience supervising staff and students.
