Experiential Learning Program Assistant

Position Summary:
Chief Objective of Position:
The Experiential Learning Program Assistant will work with Career and Professional Development's experiential learning programs and projects. The person in this role will focus on the program logistics and outreach initiatives, such as scheduling meetings, marketing, presentations, social media promotions, regarding various forms of experiential learning, such as internships, cooperative education, and a new program for VT student employees - iGrow@VirginiaTech. This Individual will help increase campus and local internship opportunities, assist with a campus and local job fair, create and run reports, as well as work with confidential student information and grading student assignments for the two courses affiliated with the Cooperative Education and Internship Program ( CEP 4084 & CEP 3084). This 1,500 hour wage position will be approximately 30 hours per week, year-round.

Required Qualifications:
Experience providing administrative or student support; experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; must be able to take initiative, prioritize and meet deadlines; excellent communication and organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; experience designing/creating flyers and presentations; familiarity with educational environments, internships, and/or human resources.
