Facilities HVAC Systems Specialist

Position Description:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President, Facilities Planning, Operations & Construction and under the work direction of the Facilities Coordinator (Central Energy Services), the position is primarily responsible for the maintenance of the District’s Automated Logic EMS System. The Maintenance Worker IV also performs a variety of skilled work in the maintenance, repair and alteration of district buildings, facilities and fixtures including carpentry and tile, painting, plastering, plumbing, heating/air conditioning and electrical trades work.  Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Experience:

Five years of experience implementing and managing Energy Management Systems (EMS) control systems; designing, installing, and maintaining low and line voltage systems; installing and maintaining HVAC systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical and EMS controls. 

 

Education:

High school diploma or its equivalent supplemented by completion of an approved apprenticeship program or equivalent based on training/experience.

 

Licenses:

• Possession and maintenance of a valid California driver’s license.  

• Possession and renewal of any professional certificates, certifications or licenses required to maintain accreditation of specialty training.
