Associate Compliance Officer (University Staff Professional 2)


The University of Connecticut seeks a dynamic and highly motivated professional with demonstrable subject matter experience to serve as an Associate Compliance Officer within its Office of University Compliance based primarily at UConn Health. The Associate Compliance Officer will assist the Chief Compliance Officer in the day-to-day implementation and management of the University's Compliance Office. The Associate Compliance Officer will have primary responsibility managing one or more of the central compliance functions (education, monitoring and investigations) while providing generalist support to the other areas of compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's Degree and five years' experience in compliance or related field
  2. Knowledge and experience working with the Federal Sentencing Guidelines' Elements of an Effective Compliance Program
  3. Experience conducting training programs
  4. Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  6. Strong interpersonal skills
  7. Attention to detail
  8. Conflict resolution skills, ability to handle confidential matters
  9. Experience conducted employee investigations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Advance degree preferred
  2. Knowledge of the State Code of Ethics
  3. Six to ten years' experience in compliance or a related field
  4. Designation as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)
  5. Experience in a University or Academic Medical Center setting
