Director of Assessment and Data Analytics

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Administration and Chief of Staff, this full time position serves the College of Engineering ( COE ) and coordinates with other colleges, departments, and programs. General duties and responsibilities for this position are:
•Design and implement comprehensive assessment plans related to goals, objectives, and other performance indicators for projects and initiatives under the purview of senior personnel including the Dean and Associate Deans in Engineering
•Design surveys and other data collection tools to inform initiatives underway; work with relevant groups to collect and analyze data
•Create reports for the dissemination and management of information
•Liaison between various administrators and faculty involved in assessment initiatives on campus
•Synthesize existing data from previous years and create reports where applicable
•Refine programs per assessment measures
•Publish and present findings related to assessment and evaluation activities in collaboration with each administrative area
•Assist in strategic planning, including defining objectives, implementation of activities to reach targets, and reporting; ensure compliance with institution-level strategic plan and other initiatives such as those identified by ABET , the Southern Association for Colleges and Schools ( SACS )
•Manage, lead, and/or coordinate special programs
•Work with complex spreadsheets
•Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
•Assist with various reports as needed

Required Qualifications:
-Master's degree in related field;
-Broad-based knowledge of higher education;
-Demonstrated experience in assessment and evaluation;
-Knowledge of statistical software and modeling techniques;
-Experience in web based data collection tools.
-Candidates should have proven ability to develop and complete projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Ph.D. in related field;
-A broad knowledge of SACS and ABET reporting;
Demonstrated knowledge of conducting assessment in an engineering learning environment;
-Demonstrated experience working with college level or senior level assessment projects for a complex academic organization;
-Working knowledge of the Banner data warehouse.
