Division/Department Information

The Department of Administrative and Instructional Leadership (DAIL) provides graduate programs leading to a Masters' degree and Advanced Certificates in school leadership and Doctoral degrees in Instructional Leadership and Educational Administration. Programs are nationally accredited and registered with New York State. The Higher Education specialization is a doctoral level program, requiring both specialized coursework as well as the completion of doctoral dissertation research.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in higher educational leadership at the main campus and satellite locations in the region, as well as online, providing academic advisement, internship supervision, mentoring doctoral students, and contributing to departmental activities and initiatives. Active engagement in research related to policy and social justice, strong quantitative skills, and a record of obtaining external funding are desirable.



Qualifications

Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Higher Educational leadership or closely related field is required, along with evidence of successful leadership at an institution of higher education in the United States, research productivity, and dedication to the development of innovative post-secondary leaders.
