Sport Management Lecturer

Duties include teaching Sport Management courses and possibly overseeing the undergraduate Sport Management program. Examples of courses that the candidate may teach include, but are not limited to: Introduction to Sport Management, Sport Public Relations, Sport Facilities and Event Management, Sport Administrative Theory, and Sport Ethics. Duties may also include advising undergraduate students, scheduling courses, curriculum review, program assessment, mentoring the undergraduate majors' club, developing relationships with local and national sport organizations, and serving on departmental, college, and university committees.

Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities
Candidates should demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching or potential for outstanding teaching at the collegiate/university level. Additionally, evidence of management and leadership abilities should be demonstrated.

Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
Candidates are required to have a master's degree or higher in Sport Management or related field.

Minimum Qualifications - Special licenses, registration or certification

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include an earned doctorate in Sport Management or related field, experience in undergraduate program administration, experience as a practitioner in the sport industry, and the ability to work in a diverse and multicultural community.
