Professional Track Assistant Professor, Department of Art with background in pa

Main teaching responsibilities include introductory, intermediate, advanced and capstone courses in painting and drawing studios. Scholarly interest in the teaching of art history such as Western and/or Modern art surveys is highly desired.

Essential Functions
The teaching load is six courses per year.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
. Evidence of outstanding teaching is essential.
. Candidates should have a commitment to creating inclusive learning environments for a diverse student body.
. The candidate must hold a Masters of Fine Art in Studio Art, or complete their M.F.A. in Studio Art by September 1, 2019.

Preferred Qualifications
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
