Job Purpose
Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in water resources and environmental engineering.

Essential Functions
Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in water resources and environmental engineering. Serve on departmental, college, and university committees. Serve on graduate student committees. Advise undergraduate students on departmental curriculum and career issues.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from accredited institutions in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or closely related engineering field. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the University's sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
Registration as a professional engineer. Experience as an engineer in charge of the design of water treatment and distribution projects, wastewater collection and treatment projects, and solid waste transfer and disposal projects or a relevant engineering field. Experience teaching in an ABET accredited civil engineering department as a faculty member. The successful candidate should have credentials to allow the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering to meet the ABET accreditation requirements related to design-oriented environmental courses being taught by engineers having design experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. This is a one-year, temporary, non-tenure-track appointment to begin August 1, 2018 or January 1, 2019, and renewable based on satisfactory annual reviews, the needs of the department, and future funding.
