Job Purpose
Responsible for management and of all aspects of the early intervention program for young children birth to age three. Initiate and maintain community outreach and be responsible for continued growth of the program, managing referrals as they arrive from the state agency. Manage the scheduling for a full array of services and will supervise all staff working in these programs. Coordinate ongoing operations and activities of the early intervention program. Responsibilities and include coaching, recruitment and training, program development and coordination of services.

Essential Functions
Responsible for hiring, supervising and evaluating associates. Acquire current information regarding state regulations, certifications, and procedures regarding provision of services. Work with bookkeeper for accurate grant accounting, reconciliation and revisions. Monitor direct service hours to meet budgetary requirements of the program. Develop and implement schedules for developmental therapists and monitor and assign referrals as they occur. Maintain records of children including evaluations, progress reports, daily therapy reports and monthly monitoring of TEIDS. Provide general and specific training related to developmental therapy and integrating developmentally appropriate activities from IFSP goals. Provide necessary reporting to overarching state agency. Ensure service delivery meets and exceeds IDEA requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies (Child Development), Early Intervention, or related field. Related field means a degree in Deaf Education or Visual Disabilities, Special Education K-12, Elementary/Education, Communication Disorders and Speech Language Pathology. Social Work, nursing and psychology degrees are not considered related fields. This requirement does not apply to Grantee staff who provided these services prior to July 1, 2014.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies (Child Development), Early Intervention, or related field. Experience working with children birth to 5 years of age. Experience working in an early intervention program. At least seven years of developmental therapy/service coordination experience.

Work Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Administrative Pay Grade AD42. This is a full-time grant funded position; its continuation is contingent upon future funding.
