Job Purpose
Teach undergraduate/graduate courses in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Communications.

Essential Functions
Teach undergraduate/graduate courses in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Communications. Serve as academic advisor for Agricultural Education and Agricultural Communications students. Conduct University and public service activities including in-service training for secondary Agricultural Education teachers; coordinate selected District, Regional, and State FFA Career Development Events; and serve as a member of the State Joint Staff for Agricultural Education. Serve as advisor for the TTU Collegiate FFA student organization. Manage the TN Department of Education, Camp Clements grant. Conduct research/scholarly activities in successful candidate's area of expertise.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in Agricultural Education or closely related field (must have completed all requirements for the doctorate by start date of employment). Three successful years of teaching experience or equivalent experience relevant to the position in Agricultural Education at the secondary level. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Demonstrated ability for providing excellence in undergraduate/graduate teaching in Agricultural Education Courses with program planning and experiential learning. Demonstrated ability to work with high school Agricultural Education programs and other groups and agencies. Knowledge of Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in undergraduate and graduate teaching. A record of successful external funding and/or scholarly activities. Demonstrated ability for providing excellence in undergraduate/graduate advising in Agricultural Education courses.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, 12-month, tenure-track position to begin January 1, 2019.
