Job Purpose
Promote positive growth and development of students by providing supervision, leadership, advising, programming, and support for Greek organizations, Greek affiliated students, and their governing councils.

Essential Functions
Serves as advisor to social Greek organizations, their Greek governing councils (IFC, Panhellenic, and NPHC), and Greek honor societies. Responsible for approving Greek organization event plans contingent on their compliance (as stated on their registration forms) with University risk management policies and procedures. Responsible for planning and executing Greek events such as Fraternity and Sorority Recruitment Programs, Greek Week events, Greek Awards Banquet, Greek wide and/or Greek governing council community service activities, speakers, and events. Ensure compliance of Greek organizations with risk management compliance policies and provide training opportunities to Greek affiliated students regarding alcohol, drugs, hazing, sexual misconduct, etc. Responsible for managing Greek governing council off campus bank accounts and University programming budgets. Initiates contracts for events and activities related to positions responsibilities. Serves as the University's representative for communication with Inter/national and local representatives and advisors of social Greek organizations. Marketing of the Greek Life program through quarterly newsletters, weekly e-newsletters, brochures and posters, design and maintenance of the Greek Life website, presenting to groups of students.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Two years of job-related experience. Proficiency in computer software programs such as Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, website design software, and other technological applications. Effective communication skills. Knowledge of Greek organizations operating procedures, terminology, by-laws, recruitment styles, dues structures, and risk management policies pertaining to chapter alcohol use, illegal drugs, hazing, sexual misconduct, fire safety, etc. Knowledge of University policies and procedures that pertain to oversight of Greek organizations. Knowledge of University policies that pertain to establishing and oversight of student organizations. Knowledge of event planning, implementation, and evaluation (including, but not limited to concerts of large and small scale), speakers, performers, philanthropic events, community service events, banquets, organization fairs, and structured Greek recruitment programs. Knowledge of University policies that pertain to purchasing, contract agreements, budgets, as well as liability and risk management policies to minimize the University's exposure to risk. Ability to plan, promote, conduct, and evaluate events and programs independently with little supervision. Ability to lead and supervise graduate assistants and student staff. Ability to compile and analyze data and reports.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited institution in social sciences, education, or communications.

Work Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Additional hours if/when needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience; Administrative Pay Grade AD42.
