Job Purpose
Supports the Director of Web & Digital Media in planning and coordinating content and implementing the university's strategy for its digital engagement channels, including oversight of the technologies used to deliver this content. Reports to the Director of Web & Digital Media and provides day-to-day management of the Digital Media area. Provides an understanding of web and mobile technology, including programming, to assist the plan, creation, coordination and implementation of web and mobile applications. Manages core component programing and installations of web and mobile applications. Supports the Director of Web & Digital Media in oversight of content and user experience on the university's digital signage system, email marketing platform, and pursues new interactive platforms to advance the university's brand and to engage audiences. Assists with training and support of the 250 plus web and digital signage managers, and general campus support lines for applications that the Web & Digital Media team oversee.

Essential Functions
Provide programming support for the university website. Support the Director of Web & Digital Media in training and maintenance of the 250 web editors on campus. Coordinate with individual departments as needed for the planning and implementation of special web applications and/or other web development, including, but not limited to third-party web-based software purchases as well as custom built applications. Assist with component programming (special applications for specific functions) and installations. Serve as the primary point of contact for support of the university's digital signage system, including providing troubleshooting and fresh content to users, and collaborate with Information Technology Services on enhancements. Support the development and programming components for the university's intranet system. Support solutions for the office's digital assets to be used to the highest potential, i.e., widely disseminated methods. Analyze the office's current collection of assets and develop policies and recommendations around curation, metadata, archiving and workflow. Create and organize key assets for the office, including a range of content-management and distribution systems, curation and visual tools, social media platforms. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Web & Digital Media.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Two years of relevant experience. Computer programming and coding experience, including proficiency in but not limited to: PHP, MySQL, Javascript (jQuery), MSSQL, Oracle, Linux, SSH, Bootstrap and XML. Working knowledge of web, technology and mobile platforms, as well as Foundation by Zurb, iOS and Android app development, HTML5/CSS, version control, testing/debugging and automation tools.

Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of OmniUpdate's OU Campus content management system and REACH digital signage software. Three years of experience in computer programming and coding. Higher education experience. Working knowledge of enterprise level content management systems, ERP system Banner and relational database design and development tools.

Work Hours
M-F 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. On call 24/7

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience; Administrative Pay Grade AD44.
Benefits Information
Benefits include the accumulation of two vacation days per month and one sick leave day per month, and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits.
