Duties and Responsibilities
We are especially interested in applicants with expertise in biomedical informatics, data science, network science, and their applications to areas that are relevant to the Department and to CHOIR . Candidates with expertise in machine learning and deep learning are strongly encouraged to apply. We welcome applicants who will contribute to related coursework in biomedical informatics and precision public health.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate at the assistant professor level will demonstrate potential for developing a strong independent research program and securing extramural funding. At the associate professor level, the ideal candidate will have an established research program with consistent federal funding.

The selected candidate will join and work with a robust and highly innovative team that will define the cutting edge of biomedical informatics research. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in biomedical informatics, computer science, biostatistics, or epidemiology, or related field.

The Department of Public Health Sciences at Loyola University Chicago seeks outstanding applicants to fill two tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant/associate professor level.

The Department of Public Health Sciences is a highly multidisciplinary department with a strong focus on improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities. It is hosted within the Health Sciences Division of Loyola University Chicago and has strong ties with the Center for Health Outcomes and Informatics Research ( CHOIR ).
