Job Description Summary
Successful candidates should be able to teach classes at the graduate and undergraduate levels in the areas of advanced manufacturing and manufacturing systems engineering. Specific areas of research interest include Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing , industrial internet of things, manufacturing system design and development including the machine to machine networking and data collection, data analytics and systems analysis for manufacturing.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong extramurally-funded research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, contribute to mentoring students, and will participate in outreach and provide service to the department, college, and university. The successful candidate is expected to bring experience, innovation, enthusiasm, technology, and leadership to the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. (or terminal degree) in Industrial Engineering, or a related field, from an ABET accredited institution required at the time employment begins. A commensurate record of successful academic activities, including funded research, teaching and scholarly publications, will be required for applicants at the associate professor level. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time of appointment and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
Desired Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A record of high quality research publications, funded research, and successful industry collaborations.
