Lecturer in Small Animal Radiation Oncology

The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences and Advanced Medicine, Section of Radiology, invite applications for a Lecturer position in Small Animal Radiation Oncology. Up to 80% of the radiation oncologist's time will be devoted to clinical service in small animal radiation oncology. The remaining time will be dedicated to study for Board preparation, clinical research, or scholarly activity according to the interest of the candidate. Advantages of the position include a Comprehensive Oncology service with dedicated medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists working as a team, a dynamic hospital setting with excellent support staff, and an exciting intellectual environment with outstanding residents and senior clinicians including faculty boarded in oncology, surgery, radiology, anesthesia, and clinical pathology. Facilities are newly upgraded including a Varian Silhouette with RapidArc, OBI / CBCT , Eclipse TPS , and Aria R&V. Imaging modalities include a 16-slice CT and 1.5T MRI .
Candidates must have a veterinary degree, have completed an approved radiation oncology residency training program and either achieved certification or be board-eligible in the American College of Veterinary Radiology. Clinical responsibilities include treatment planning (including manual, 3DCRT, IMRT , and SBRT ), participation in comprehensive oncology rounds, and primary care of radiation oncology patients.
