Assistant Director for Special Initiatives

Position Summary:
Contributes to the establishment and implementation of short- and long-range goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and recommends and implements changes required for improvement.
-Manages and conducts initiatives as may be assigned by the center director.
-Teaches and advises students in the executive master of natural resources .
-Assists the executive masters associate director with program development, that may include marketing and recruitment.
-Provide research, writing, and editing support for center publication projects.
-Research and develop case studies to support center educational programming.
-Provide organizational and instructional support for assignments in both undergraduate and graduate courses.
-Ensure compliance with the University, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in natural resources or environmental science
- Experience in teaching professional graduate students
- Work experience in both the public and private sectors
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
- International travel and work experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Innovative and entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to travel and work some evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with compliance of University, State, and federal laws, policies, and regulations
