Assistant Director for Reunion Programs

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Reunion Programs, the Assistant Director for Reunion Programs will work with reunion classes to achieve both the attendance and giving participation goals set by the reunion volunteers, Alumni Relations and the Office of Annual Giving. The Assistant Director will help identify volunteers from targeted alumni populations to achieve reunion program and associated giving objectives. This position will also work on a number of other events and constituency-based reunions throughout the year, with a focus on event planning and execution, alumni engagement and volunteer management.
Reunions and Class/Constituency Activities are one of the primary foci of the University's strategic plan for Alumni Relations. Reunion Programs strives to accomplish the following fundamental goals:
a) Re-connect significantly more alumni to the University through their participation in Reunion activities and through a more cohesive, collaborative presentation of university interests at these activities
b) Engage and invest significantly more alumni in a higher level of volunteerism in alumni activities
c) Develop far-reaching synergies across the traditional and emerging engagement programs at the University and Advancement
d) Through engagement programs, increase philanthropic annual giving participation

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, student affairs, or other related field.
Demonstrated experience in event planning, strategic planning, and/or volunteer management.
Demonstrated experience monitoring and managing budgets.
Successful candidates will work both independently as well as collaboratively within the department and with others at the University.
Demonstrated data analytic skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of social media platforms.
Preference given to candidates with experience in reunion programming, alumni engagement, annual giving and/or non-profit work.
