Human Services - Assistant Professor

The ideal candidate for the Human Services Assistant Professor position would demonstrate knowledge and skills in conducting research in human services, in teaching at the undergraduate level, and in becoming involved in national professional associations. This individual should have a background in addiction services, demonstrate a commitment to diversity issues, and have a desire to be involved in program development.

Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Experience teaching undergraduate students in human services or a closely related field
• Evidence of the potential to conduct scholarly work including publications in peer-review journals and the attainment of external funding
• Evidence of commitment to diversity issues
• Involvement in professional associations
• Knowledge of program development

Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
• Doctorate in human services or a closely related field by August 30, 2020
• Education or training in addiction services

Minimum Qualifications - Special licenses, registration or certification

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in addictions prevention, treatment, and recovery services and education
• Addictions education and training with undergraduates
• Experience in leadership in professional human service organizations at the national level
• Evidence of scholarly work, including publications in national peer-reviewed journals and grant funding
