Assistant Professor of Economics


The Department of Economics and Finance at Salisbury University's Franklin P. Perdue School of Business is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Economics. This is a full-time, tenure-track position expected to begin in August 2019.

Area of Specialization: Health Economics.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: Include teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, engaging in scholarship commensurate with the mission and service/outreach to the University, advising, and mentoring. Candidates must demonstrate an effective teaching style that supports a diverse student body.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree or ABD in Economics with a specialty in Health Economics. If ABD, would be hired at the rank of Instructor with the expectation that the candidate completes the doctoral degree within one year of date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications: Documented evidence of excellence in both teaching and scholarship along with evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills.
