The Position:
The CompTIA Network+ Instructor/Writer shall be available for a total of eight (8) hours between the core hours of operation of 0730 to 1630 local time, Monday thru Friday except for Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Applications are currently being accepted for a CompTIA Network+ Instructor/Writer for the US Army Signal School located at Fort Gordon, GA.

Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

Major Responsibilities:
Instruct Foundational Training to AIT students for specific 25 Series Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) 25B, 25N, 25P,25Q, 25S and 25U. Support the instruction and development of Army Signal School technical and planning courses Instruct and facilitate adult learning through modern training techniques and methodologies and assist in developing Government-owned Foundational curriculum. Personnel shall meet the standards outlined in established Programs of Instruction (POI), Signal School training guidance, TRADOC Regulation 350-6 and 350-70. Provide support through certified classroom instruction, practical exercises, technical lab support, culminating exercises and curriculum validation.Competencies: Instructing Teaching others how to do something. Time Management Managing ones own time and the time of others. Writing Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Active Learning Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. Monitoring Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

Qualifications:
1. Must be CompTIA Net+ Certified, N10 certified or higher.2. Must be a US Citizen and be able to hold a US Government Secret Security clearance. 3. Must have 5 years experience and/or worked in a career field that programs routers and switches in a LAN and WAN environment.4. Must have five (5) years experience and/or worked directly in the IT networking field.5. Must have five (5) years experience and stay current with CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+, CompTIA Security+, and CCNA training material.6. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.7. Possess skills/knowledge of performing office automation work that includes word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentations, and other personal computer applications; typing a variety of materials from rough draft into final form including narrative and tabular material, e.g., correspondence, reports, and forms; maintaining records, historical records, survey results, reference library of training catalogs, regulations and other miscellaneous publications; establishing and maintaining office functional files and reference files; knowledge management applications e.g., SharePoint, Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS), and Blackboard. 8. Graduated the Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC) and either the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or the Foundation Instructor Facilitator Course (FIFC) within the last five (5) years. Or, must attend and graduate from SCTC, ABIC or FIFC within 3 months of award of the contract and arrival at the Signal School. 9. Must have experience in instructing the aforementioned topics and published study guide.

Pay Information:
SALARY RANGE

Classroom assignment: $55.80 $71.21 per hour

Non-Classroom assignment: $41.85 $53.41 per hour

At the time that an offer of assignment is made, proper salary placement is contingent upon receipt of OFFICIAL (sealed) transcripts. Instructors with advanced coursework shall be placed on the appropriate class and step on the Adjunct College Salary Schedules, effective the first month following receipt (in Human Resources) of the official transcripts. Initial salary placement will be at the first class/step until official transcripts have been submitted.
