The Student Engagement and Campus Life VT Graduate Student Pool is for positions supporting the Graduate Life Center at Virginia Tech.
The Student Engagement and Campus Life VT Graduate Student applicant pool represents the staff that works closely with the Student Engagement and Campus Life Operations Superintendent and the Graduate School to provide services to the patrons of the GLC . This includes providing excellent customer service, oversight of the information desk, reserving rooms, basic cleaning (wiping tables, vacuuming, etc.), administrative support, marketing and clerical duties. Shifts hours vary but may require Saturdays and may include early morning, day, evening, weekend and holiday hours as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program at Virginia Tech; must possess demonstrated customer service skills and excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and interface effectively with a diverse clientele. Must be able to move and handle up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate Coursework in Property Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management or Business Management, knowledge of campus, and previous facility management work a plus.
