Assistant Professor of Computer Science


The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Salisbury University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Computer Science. This is a full-time, tenure-track position expected to begin in August 2019.

Primary Job Duties: Teaching introductory computer science courses as well as a broad range of upper level computer science courses. Academic advising and student mentoring as well as conducting undergraduate research and scholarly activities.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field. If ABD, applicant must complete doctoral degree within the first year of employment. Demonstrated evidence of a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, research, and curriculum development. Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the modern programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, PHP, Javascript, etc.

Preferred Qualifications: Background in big data, machine learning, artificial intelligence, high performance and parallel computation, or cybersecurity.
