System Administrator

The System Administrator is responsible for assuring the operational integrity and connectivity of servers, and deploying integrated solutions to solve customer needs and requests. As a System Administrator, the person in this position is expected to provide technical leadership, the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and project planning, and communication related to the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
  • Perform Operating system and application installation, customization, and maintenance.
  • Perform data base management including optimization, version currency, and patch levels.
  • Technical administration and support including backup, disaster recovery, security, and troubleshooting.
  • Establish and monitor quality control and performance levels.
  • Respond to CSR and other customer issues.
  • Write and maintain documented procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, and minimum two to three years experience in server administration required. A minimum of three years experience in troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and knowledge of and experience with networks and networking devices are preferred. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of Server operating systems. Knowledge of C, C++, REXX, Perl, PHP and Java programming languages desired.
