Assistant Professor, Social Work

Full/Part Time Status:Full Time Service Schedule:Academic Year

Position Description:

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Social Work seeks applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include teaching three course sections per semester; participating in service to the University and community; scholarship production; and student advisement. The department offers programs at B.A. and M.S.W. levels and qualified candidates must be able to teach across the two programs.

Education Requirements:

Master's degree plus a doctorate degree in social work or a related field required. At least one of the degrees must be in social work and ABDs will be considered.

Desirable Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with previous teaching experience and ability to teach online. Areas of expertise are open, with preference given to trauma. Chosen candidates will have strong communication skills and evidence of working in a collaborative environment.
