Assistant Director, Assessment and Evaluation

Position Summary:
Works collaboratively with faculty members, administrators, and colleagues in Assessment and Evaluation to advance the University's continuous improvement initiatives. Leads the development and implementation of assessment and evaluation activities related to administrative assessment and helps support administration and implementation of the University's course evaluation process. Assists in other institutional-level assessment and evaluation processes including academic program assessment, general education assessment, and academic program review. Helps to meet regional accreditation standards ( SACSCOC ), provides support for assessment and evaluation activities for university stakeholders, and assists in the establishment and implementation of assessment goals and strategies for the unit.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field.
•Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of assessment and evaluation.
•Experience in outcomes assessment and related activities within a higher education setting.
•Experience using qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative and transparent manner.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Sensitivity to issues of diversity in a university community.
•Awareness of challenges in fostering an institution-wide culture and commitment to assessment.
•Ability to work well in a diverse, collegial, and consultative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ph.D. from a regionally accredited college or university in an appropriate discipline/field (e.g., educational research, educational psychology, higher education administration, statistics).
•Higher education teaching and/or research experience.
•Knowledge of regional and/or disciplinary accreditation standards and reporting processes.
•Knowledge/background in assessment of general education.
•Experience with or knowledge of grant evaluation practices.
