Degree Audit Encoder/Graduation Analyst

Position Summary:
The Office of the University Registrar seeks highly motivated candidates for the position of Degree Audit Encoder/Graduation Analyst. Responsibilities of the position include translating degree requirements into rules that are programmed into the degree audit system. Identifies degree audit encoding needs, writes easily maintained degree audit programs. Tests programs for accuracy before release, and evaluates student records for degree progress, consulting with academic departments to provide possible solutions to graduation issues. Evaluates degree requirements proposals, submitted for administrative review, and ensures that all proposals comply with controlling legislation, university policies, as well as the basic elements that are required of all undergraduate Degree Requirements proposals. Ensures compliance with the 125% rule for in-state tuition. Ensures that university enrollment and degree reporting submissions comply with controlling legislation.

Required Qualifications:
Successful candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of standard office practices and procedures; strong computer skills to include data entry; some knowledge of query language, programs and office applications; demonstrated data analysis experience; demonstrated ability to process large volumes of work while maintaining a high level of accuracy; strong communication and analytical skills and the ability to quickly adjust to shifting priorities; strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all individuals in a diverse multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with degree audit systems, a knowledge of basic programming, advanced computer experience using large-scale relational databases such as degree audit programs and knowledge of degree audit requirements and administration, computer software programs and applications including College Source's degree audit systems such as uachieve, uplanner, and transferology; experience with academic programs and curricular offerings, student advising and/or complying with privacy regulations; previous reconciliation and proofreading experience; knowledge of university academic eligibility policies and procedures.
