Catering Services Manager

Position Summary:
Assists in the management of a large university catering department under the direction of the assistant director. Responsibilities include assisting with execution of contracted events and deliveries, daily operations, cash/credit card sales and cash register transactions, safety and sanitation, and the maintenance and security of the building and equipment. Assists with the Game Day suite experience at Lane Stadium. Oversees the back-of-the house to include but not limited to: coordination of setup and breakdown of events, equipment pulls, maintaining storage areas, maintaining equipment and service wares, entering work orders, and perpetual BOH inventory control. Oversees the weekly schedule of the front of the house staff created by the student general manager. Ensures all policies and procedures are followed. Ensures a high level of customer service at all times.

Required Qualifications:
Working knowledge of commercial kitchen and full service catering. Bachelor's degree in Hotel Tourism Management and/or related experience. Supervision and management experience in a catering operation. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safe food handling practices, and food sanitation. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and public; excellent customer services skills; demonstrated knowledge of computers including Windows, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous experience operating an electronic cash register and accurately exchanging cash and debit/credit card tender.

Preferred Qualifications:
ServSafe certification and HACCP certification desired.
