Position Summary:
Primarily serves as receptionist, providing customer service support; assistance to admissions applicants and special program areas. Provides information to visitors, callers, and other customers regarding policies, procedures, curriculum, and preparation of various departmental forms. Additionally, provides administrative support to the Assistant/Associate Directors of Undergraduate Admissions by scheduling appointments. Occasional weekend working hours required.

Required Qualifications:
Previous administrative support experience. Demonstrated proficiency with office computer software, such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database application. Ability to work under very stressful conditions with high volume visitor traffic and telephone calls, while maintaining high levels of efficiency and confidentiality. It is critical that the person is dependable, approachable, comfortable dealing with strangers, communicates clearly, exhibits initiative, learns from experiences, and presents a professional image and a positive attitude at all times - while representing the university to parents and prospective students.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference given for previous receptionist (phone and in person) experience, knowledge of university policies and procedures, and proficiency with Banner and Microsoft Office.
