Logistics Specialist

Position Summary:
As a member of the Planning and Operations Maintenance Department, the Logistics Specialist is responsible for the day to day Logistics operations for the Department. This includes a variety of functions including; Moving and storage of Department assets, maintenance of department fleet services, pest control and scheduled flooring and upholstery maintenance. The successful candidate will have the ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently. Some overtime may be required and is responsible to respond to after-hours when called or on an emergency basis.

Required Qualifications:
Previous experience with general maintenance of commercial or institutional buildings. Previous experience with general maintenance in the areas of vehicles, furnishing repairs and pest control including but not limited to diagnosing, repairing and/or replacing. Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance methods including materials, tools, procedures and safety practices. Previous experience working with / understanding blueprints and specifications. Previous experience processing complete, accurate work order reports / documentation. Previous experience with computers and Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Some overtime required and responds to after-hours service calls when scheduled or in emergency situations. Must be willing to work weekend shift occasionally or on a rotating shift.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with material logistics.
