TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, Sloan School of Management-MIT Sloan Initiative for Health Systems Innovation , to curate, integrate, and operationalize health information-related databases for student and faculty researchers based on data supplied by collaborating industry partners and potentially other publicly available sources. The project aims at creating new systemic solutions to predict, monitor, and mitigate risks related to healthcare delivery. The project will involve cleaning, curating, structuring and operationalizing relevant data sources; identifying and vetting data sources that could be robustly used to inform a data analytics strategy for operational risk-based decision making; and other data-related activities as needed. Responsibilities include managing data integration efforts and supporting faculty and student research, conducting data analysis, and writing case analyses under the supervision of the director of HSI; developing and managing a robust and secure data infrastructure for confidential healthcare data received from a variety of sources; cleaning and integrating datasets as needed; vetting additional data sources relevant to research questions posed; and performing other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED : a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (electrical engineering or computer science), ability to work both independently and as member of a team, and excellent oral and written communication skills. A minimum of two years' experience with data mining, modeling, and visualization preferred; as is basic familiarity with Python, R, or MATLAB. Experience in healthcare analytics and an interest in healthcare deliver a plus. Job #16268
