Interfaith Engagement Intern

Wheaton College's Center for Religious and Spiritual Life is seeking to hire a paid Interfaith Engagement Intern to support Wheaton's efforts to actively foster a learning environment that promotes inclusion and diversity.

Wheaton's Center for Religious and Spiritual Life ( RSL ) equips Wheaton students with the resources and opportunities to critically examine, deepen, and live out their values in a pluralistic world and to build and sustain community.

Responsibilities of the Interfaith Engagement Intern include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Develop, execute, market and assess opportunities promoting vibrant multi/inter-faith dialogue.
• Develop, execute, market and assess observation of seasonal celebrations and high holy days on campus, and other new initiatives to encourage pluralistic engagement.
• Support coordination and outreach to the campus regarding annual faith-based celebrations and days of observance.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the major world religions (Abrahamic and non-Abrahamic).
• Demonstrated experience engaging with diverse religious communities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of standard office applications and presentation and assessment based programs (e.g. PowerPoint, Qualtrics, Google Forms, Survey Monkey).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Current enrollment in a relevant Master's degree program.
