Assistant Director of Alumni Services

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Alumni Services, the Assistant Director of Alumni Services will provide coordination and support to the Director for activities, programs, services and communications that reach, serve and engage alumni. This position will support the overall management and coordination of the alumni travel program, the alumni career resources program, corporate affinity partnerships and other duties as assigned. The Assistant Director will work with various travel companies to identify and promote quality travel tours primarily to alumni, students, and friends that provide lifelong learning opportunities through a broad range of luxury travel experiences. This position will also provide support for the alumni career program with the goal of enhancing and promoting alumni-focused career resources and professional networking opportunities. The Assistant Director will serve a key role in communicating with alumni, database management, reservation processing, and overall program administration. This position will work collaboratively with the members of Advancement to pursue and promote institutional objectives related to alumni engagement, communications, and fundraising.

Required Qualifications:
Advanced degree in marketing, communication, hospitality and tourism, or other related field; or Bachelor's degree with significant experience in event planning, career services, tourism, alumni engagement, and/or educational programming.
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Strong project development and management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge of Content Management Systems ( CMS ) and/or HTML , social media platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Must be comfortable making group presentations.
Willing to work evenings/weekends and travel as needed.
Demonstrated ability to work closely and effectively with University alumni, administrators, faculty and students.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Alumni Relations or Advancement setting.
Experience in career services, travel, or alumni tours.
Significant experience developing effective strategies to foster relationships and engagement.
Experience with Blackbaud and Adobe Creative Suites.
