Position Summary:
Provide care for equine patients through administration of medications treatments, specimen collection, monitoring vital signs, record keeping and assisting in the preparation and performance of special and emergency procedures; maintains acceptable levels of cleanliness in barns, treatment areas and other related areas.

Required Qualifications:
Previous equine related experience and/or veterinary assistant experience; working knowledge of basic principles of equine care; experience and extensive knowledge of equine restraint and handling techniques; ability to follow established protocol and procedures; good communications skills; knowledge of basic personal computer software and operations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Veterinary Technician Certification; training in Animal Science or a health related field.
