Position Summary:
The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center is looking for a Hostess/Cashier to join our team of professionals in our upscale dining restaurant Preston's. The position of Hostess/Cashier will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service while being attentive to our guests needs. Use basic cash handling procedures to operate the Point of Sale system and complete related end of shift reports with a high degree of accuracy. This position will require flexibility in scheduling to include early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications:
Previous experience in a customer service environment. Experience with basic cash handling procedures. Must have the ability to multi-task and assist customers under high pressure situations; ability to perform detailed and accurate work. Must be able to work a varying schedule to include early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays. Day and evening shift available.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous hostess or server experience; MICROS or similar Point of Sale system experience; experience using OPEN Table reservation system
