Program Support Technician -McBryde Hall

Position Summary:
Serves as the first point of contact for the Department of Computer Science Student Services Office located in McBryde Hall. This position assists people both in person and by phone, interacts effectively with a wide range of clientele including undergraduate students, prospective students, parents, faculty/staff members, administrators, book publisher reps, investigators, etc. Assists students in matters of registration, change of grades, proper forms, and advising assignments. Supports the undergraduate advisors, maintaining departmental forms and informational materials. Processes class rolls, grade sheets, teaching evaluations, textbook orders, key check-out, mass mailings, in-coming and out-going mail. Supports communication with students via email lists, bulletin boards, and the department website. Maintains calendar access, schedules and reserves meeting rooms, organizes and maintains records and office files, and assists with events and other office support as needed.

Required Qualifications:
• Customer service experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Positive attitude, strong customer service philosophy, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous skills improvement.
• Ability to project a positive and professional image; establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with student information systems, preferably Banner.
• Experience/knowledge of university policies and procedures.
• Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
