Student-Athlete Development Assistant

The Student-Athlete Development Assistant will provide administrative support to the areas of Leadership and Compliance/Student Services with an emphasis on academic initiative assistance, communication, marketing, and other areas related to the student-athlete experience. The position will process/monitor the academic tutors and academic enhancement lab, as well as provide organizational support for student certification. In addition, s/he will play a key role in the Bucknell Athletic Leadership Institute by assisting the Director in planning the Leadership Kickoff, Career Networking Event, Leadership Graduation, and overall roster management. The position will assist with various workshops to enhance student-athlete learning off the field.

All Athletics staff members are expected to contribute to Bucknell's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Job Duties:
• Process tutor payments for student athletes.
• Monitor Academic Enhancement Lab.
• Provide support for student athlete certification.
• Assist with assessment communication, data collection, and research initiatives.
• Create quarterly newsletter for internal and external constituents.
• Maintain master calendar of events, deadlines, and programming.
• Maintain and monitor social media accounts.
• Serve as the liaison to communications department for website edits and updates.
• Assist with the facilitation of various leadership sessions and small group breakouts.
• Manage roster application/acceptance and communication for the Bucknell Athletic Leadership Institute.
• Provide event planning support for Leadership Kickoff, Career Networking Event, Leadership Graduation, and various speakers.
• Assist in the planning and recognition of Leadership Awards, including student leaders of the month.
• Assist in the planning of staff and institute member mentoring luncheons.
• Assist with Leadership Institute participants projects and presentations.
• Assist with athletic game day activities as needed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Contribute to Bucknell's commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Professional and/or graduate assistant experience in the athletic administration field

Physical Demands:
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds. Requires standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
