ABOUT AIC

American International College is a private, coeducational institution of higher education located on a 70+ acre campus in Springfield, Massachusetts. The campus has 42 buildings on two sites approximately 1/2 mile apart with a total of approximately 660,000 gross square feet. Included in the inventory of buildings are student residences for a resident population of 900 students. Founded in 1885, the College has 3700 graduate and undergraduate students. AIC offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs through the Schools of Business, Arts and Sciences; Health Sciences; and Education. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide office and facilities support for the office of academic affairs, including high level executive administrative support to the EVPAA. Maintain confidential information for the EVPAA including FERPA protected information. This includes, but is not limited to, information specific to courses, students, and faculty; curriculum;
  • Serve as point person for EVPAA communication, including acting as a liaison with IT, and event planning coordinating details and logistics
  • Working with the deans, create a process of professional development, support and growth for adjunct faculty; in addition, create faculty and course satisfaction surveys and process to assess quality of the student academic experience.
  • Create data reports and analyze data to provide comprehensive recommendations to the EVPAA
  • Create a process and coordinate student academic disciplinary action for the office of academic affairs.
  • Prepare and provide enrollment reporting and analysis (enrollment/attrition/persistence/completion) to the EVPAA.
  • Assist in the curriculum development and revision process.
  • Track budget for the office of the EVPAA and assist in budget planning.
  • Assist faculty and students with questions and concerns/
  • Assist with the creation, assessment and improvement relative to processes within the academic affairs office
  • Coordinate new hire orientation for the EVPAA.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required Degree(s): Bachelor's Degree
  • Required Field of Expertise: 3-5 Years in an executive administrative level position
  • Preferred Field of Expertise: Experience working in a higher education environment

  • Ability to identify problems, analyze data, and make recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational skills; able to prioritize
  • Ability to find our answers to questions and sort out the unimportant from the important

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time, exempt, benefit eligible position. Normal office hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, flexible to the needs of the department. Occasional nights and weekend event work required.
