Responsibilities:
Program Management:
- Oversee and manage undergraduate research opportunities, including SURE, SURPASS, and the Undergraduate Symposium.
- Manage the Kotzen Scholar Program - the most prestigious merit award at Simmons.
- Develop a diverse portfolio of nationally competitive academic opportunities
- Maintain a database of students, awards, applications and outcomes
- Develop new strategies to enable Simmons' applicants to be more competitive
- Plan and deliver, in collaboration with University staff and faculty, fellowship, grants and awards events (knowledge and skill-building) including information sessions and workshops
- Regularly report on key performance indicators and metrics to understand and improve the performance of the program
- Stay informed of industry trends, new opportunities, and best practices for success
- Consult and partner with external and internal stakeholders and students to guide in the planning and delivering of related programming
- Oversee and manage undergraduate research opportunities, including SURE, SURPASS, and the Undergraduate Symposium.

Advising:
- Serve as the first point of contact for students interested in fellowship, grant, and award opportunities
- Conduct student advising in one-on-one or group settings
- Provide support for all phases of the application lifecycle including identification of relevant opportunities, preparation of application materials, mock interviews and career consultations
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree required, Ph.D. preferred
- 3-5 years of related experience in higher education
- Student advising, program management and fellowship/grant writing experience preferred
- Familiarity with nationally competitive academic awards
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, and work independently and collaboratively
- Proven experience of working collegially with a diverse group of faculty, staff and students in a university setting
- Available to attend some evening and weekend events
