Full Time Instructor - Department of Psychology
The Simmons College Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time contract (non-tenure track) faculty position beginning Fall 2018. This position will involve teaching 7 courses during the 2018-2019 academic year (3 in Fall, 4 in Spring) in the areas of developmental, clinical, and social psychology. Candidates with PhD degrees in Psychology and experience in teaching undergraduate courses are strongly preferred. Teaching responsibilities may include the following courses:
PSYC 101: Introduction to Psychological Science
PSYC 231 Abnormal Psychology
PSYC 235 Developmental Psychology
PSYC 236 Psychology of Adolescence
PSYC 237 Lifespan Development
PSYC 222 Psychology of Women
PSYC 244 Social Psychology
The ideal candidate would be prepared to teach all of the courses listed; however, candidates who by virtue of their area of specialization are more strongly prepared to teach a subset of these courses will also be considered.
