Full Time Instructor - Department of Psychology

The Simmons College Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time contract (non-tenure track) faculty position beginning Fall 2018. This position will involve teaching 7 courses during the 2018-2019 academic year (3 in Fall, 4 in Spring) in the areas of developmental, clinical, and social psychology. Candidates with PhD degrees in Psychology and experience in teaching undergraduate courses are strongly preferred. Teaching responsibilities may include the following courses:

  • PSYC 101: Introduction to Psychological Science
  • PSYC 231 Abnormal Psychology
  • PSYC 235 Developmental Psychology
  • PSYC 236 Psychology of Adolescence
  • PSYC 237 Lifespan Development
  • PSYC 222 Psychology of Women
  • PSYC 244 Social Psychology

    The ideal candidate would be prepared to teach all of the courses listed; however, candidates who by virtue of their area of specialization are more strongly prepared to teach a subset of these courses will also be considered.
