Brief Summary:
The Athletics Department at Marist College invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Women's Rowing Coach. Marist College is an NCAA Division I program and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Rowing and the First Assistant in planning, organizing, and coordinating program with special emphasis on the recruitment of Division I caliber student-athletes, both on and off campus.
Conduct daily on and off water practices and training of novice student-athletes safely and efficiently.
Involved in all other aspects of a Division I women's rowing program including but not limited to coaching, administration and alumni relations, and other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Rowing within the rules and regulations of the NCAA, Marist College and the MAAC.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree; minimum of two years' coaching experience in crew is strongly preferred; minimum 2 years' experience with collegiate recruiting, both on and off campus; collegiate rower and coxswain experience. Strong leadership skills, highly motivated and energetic. Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations preferred. Certification in CPR, AED and first-aid will be required.
