Brief Summary:

Marist College invites applications for the position of Assistant Swim Coach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with all phases of men's and women's swim program in compliance with the rules and regulations of the NCAA, MAAC and the College;
• Assist in practices, organization and conditioning of swimmers.
• Assists in on-deck coaching, Monday thru Friday weekly;
• Assists with competition coaching during all scheduled dual/championship meets;
• Oversee and update recruiting database;
• Coordinate all recruiting official visits;
• Assists with safety aspects of the pool
• Assist with home and away meets in a Division I Men's & Women's Swimming Program;
• Assist with all inventory and reports connected with the Men's & Women's Diving program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Aquatics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related area; two to three years of teaching/USA Swimming or college coaching experience; collegiate swimming experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to organize and administer a Division I program within the confines of the NCAA, MAAC and Marist rules and regulations is required. Human relations skill necessary for working effectively with students, faculty, staff, alumni, trustees and the community. Must be Adult CPR and AED certified.
