The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for adjunct instructors in Communication Design.
Communication Designstudents receive a foundation in visual problem solving. The core of the curriculum is a series of sequential design studios. These courses help students develop critical and visual thinking along with essential design processes. Students also have opportunities to further develop in specific areas of interest (including graphic design, interaction design and motion design). Students reinforce their skills in the field through severalco-ops.
Responsibilities for this position include teaching one course in a specified semester, which entails working with the lead teacher of a course and delivering course materials incorporating theory, and practical applications.
Minimum Qualifications: A candidate seeking an adjunct appointment should hold a bachelor's degree in graphic design, interaction design, digital design or related field.
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to produce quality creative work through a portfolio.Candidates should possess a strong foundation in the fundamentals of UX/UI and/or graphic design (specifically typography, image-making, and composition).
