Plant Ecology - Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences

All areas of plant ecology will be considered, but applicants using field techniques are strongly preferred and expertise in coastal or wetland plants is desirable. Teaching responsibilities include: general botany, plant ecology and undergraduate and graduate course in the candidate's specialty. In addition to a strong commitment to teaching excellence, the candidate is expected to develop an internationally recognized, extramurally funded research program. Opportunities for collaboration in coastal/wetland ecology exist within the Departments of Biological Sciences and Ocean, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences and through the ODU Resilience Collaborative (https://www.odu.edu/impact/initiatives/resiliencecollaborative).
