Qualifications:
Applicants must have a PhD in Political Science or International Relations (degree must be awarded by
the time of appointment) in the sub-fields of Comparative Politics or International Relations, with a
specialization in the politics of Europe (including Russia/CIS countries) or the Middle East. Evidence of
teaching excellence is essential. Applicants are expected to demonstrate the ability to conduct high-
quality research and produce peer-reviewed academic publications. Applicants should have a
demonstrated record of awareness of and sensitivity to educational goals of a multicultural population as
might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching, and other comparable experience.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will start in August 2018, and teach introductory and advanced courses in
Comparative Politics and International Relations, such as International Organization, Eurasian Politics,
Politics of the European Union, and Middle Eastern Politics. Candidate must address the needs of a
student population of great diversity - in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language, and
academic preparation - through course materials, teaching strategies, and advisement.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Starting Date: August 17, 2018
