Qualifications:
The Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences (CD&S) seeks to fill an open-rank, tenure- eligible position. The successful candidate will have a doctorate in Communication Sciences and Disorders or closely related field by time of the appointment. CCC-SLP and eligibility for CA License in Speech-Language Pathology is preferred. Candidates applying at the Associate Professor or Professor rank should have a documented record of published research, teaching excellence and professional achievement appropriate to the rank. The area of specialization is open. Candidates with areas of specialization that can complement the existing expertise of the CD&S faculty are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching, and other comparable experience.

Responsibilities:
The candidate must address the needs of a student population of great diversity - in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language and academic preparation - through course materials, teaching strategies and advisement. The main responsibilities of the candidate would be to 1) teach Graduate classes, 2) supervise Graduate clinical practicum, 3) and/or teach Undergraduate classes if necessary. The candidate is expected to maintain an active research agenda and engage and support students in their research program. Participation in department, college and University service activities is expected.
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Starting Date: August 17, 2018
